Baby Packages

Since October 2018, we have been providing newborn starter packages at Sighișoara Municipal Hospital to the poorest mothers, many of whom are far too young. We hope this will encourage the mothers to keep their babies rather than leave them at the hospital's baby hatch. Contact is arranged through the hospital's chief physician, who is also active in the Lions Club Sighișoara. In addition, not only mothers with newborns but also women attending consultations receive free general information about contraception. If a woman chooses an intrauterine device, the chief physician personally provides the consultation, insertion, and follow-up care, while we cover the cost of tests and materials.
