Who Are We?

Behind thoma-stiftung stands a small group of volunteers who have organized person-to-person aid for over three decades — voluntarily, personally, and with the firm belief that every bit of support reaches those in need.

What Do We Do?

We organize the building and logistics of aid — from Germany and on-site in Sighișoara. From aid trips to caring for individuals to scholarships: every measure grows out of direct contact with those who need it.

Even after more than 30 years, it is sometimes almost unimaginable to me what has become of Harald's and my spontaneous idea. Although I have been to Sighișoara countless times, it is always a new challenge. Poverty and hardship are still a daily reality for far too many people.
